Alcohol Delivery Gurgaon? What Works Tonight in 2026

On 27 October 2026, DSIIDC started online liquor booking in Delhi through an app called Delhi Liquor Booking. You book and pay on your phone, but you still collect the bottles in person from a DSIIDC shop within 48 hours, because there is no home delivery. If you live in Gurugram and saw this news, your next question is simple: what about here, and what about tonight?

This guide answers that question in plain words. It covers what Haryana allows today, whether alcohol delivery Gurgaon is a thing (it is not), what works tonight instead, and how to plan a house party without a last-minute run to the shop.

In Gurugram? A Barmen runner fetches your bottles, mixers and snacks from a licensed store. You pay the shop directly. 21+ only, ID checked at handover. Say Hi to Barmen on WhatsApp

What Delhi launched, in short

The Delhi app is run by DSIIDC, one of the four government corporations that sell liquor in Delhi. You choose a brand, a shop, a bottle size and a quantity. You pay online and get a QR code. At the shop, the operator scans the QR code, the system checks it, and you take your bottles.

A few rules come with it, as reported on launch day. You must be 25 or older, which is Delhi's legal drinking age. You must collect within 48 hours of paying. You can cancel before pickup, but you cannot return bottles after you collect them. Only DSIIDC shops are on the app for now, so the other three corporations are not part of it yet. We could not verify an official link for the app yet. A listing using the name has a Gmail contact and complaints that payments went through with no order, so do not pay on it until DSIIDC or the Delhi excise department publishes the official link. The full steps are in our Delhi Liquor Booking app guide.

So Delhi now has booking plus pickup. It does not have home delivery.

Does Gurugram have a government liquor booking app?

No. Haryana has not announced any government app for booking liquor online, and there is no government home delivery service in Gurugram either.

In July 2026, the Haryana government did launch a few online excise services. These were for businesses, such as online event licences (L-12A to L-12C), banquet hall registration and longer hours for liquor shops. It also upgraded its QR code system that tracks each bottle from the factory to the shop. None of these lets a customer book or order liquor.

Haryana's excise policy is also silent on home delivery. It does not set up a delivery licence the way Delhi did on paper in 2021. That means the shops in Gurugram sell at the counter, and that is where the law is clear.

The legal drinking age in Haryana is 21. The state lowered it from 25 when the Haryana Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2021 was passed in December 2021. Delhi is still 25.

Your options in Gurugram tonight

When people search for alcohol delivery Gurgaon, they usually want one thing: bottles at home without the hassle. Here is what works today.

Option 1: walk to a licensed store yourself

This is the simplest option. Gurugram has many licensed shops, and you buy at the counter with your bill. The catch is the evening rush. Between 7 pm and 10 pm, the counter can be crowded, parking is hard near the busy markets, and you still need to pick up mixers, ice and snacks from a different shop.

Option 2: appoint a runner to fetch it for you

You can ask a person you trust to go to a licensed store for you. You pay the shop directly, and the sale still happens at a licensed counter, with a proper bill in your name. This is what most people already do when they send a friend or a cousin. Barmen turns this into a service you can book on WhatsApp.

What not to do

Do not buy from anyone who offers bottles from a car, a flat or an unknown number. Do not buy bottles without a hologram or with a missing "for sale in Haryana" label. And do not carry Gurugram bottles into Delhi. Keep your Gurugram bottles in Haryana.

How a Barmen runner works

Barmen is a WhatsApp concierge in Gurugram. You say Hi, tell it what you want, and appoint a runner for that one trip. The runner is your appointed person for the hour. He goes to a licensed store for you and fetches what you asked for. The service covers Golf Course Road up to Sun City, DLF Phase 1 to 5, Sushant Lok and Galleria. It is 21+ only, ID checked at handover.

Here is the flow, step by step:

  1. You send your list on WhatsApp: the bottles, plus mixers, ice and snacks if you want them.

  2. You confirm that you are 21 or older, and you appoint the runner for the hour. It is 21+ only, ID checked at handover.

  3. The runner goes to a licensed store near you during shop hours.

  4. You pay the shop directly, using the shop's own QR. The bill is made in your name, and the runner sends it to you on WhatsApp.

  5. The runner brings your bottles, mixers and snacks to you, and your ID is checked at handover.

Barmen only charges for the runner's time. It never holds the money for your liquor, and it does not sell liquor itself. The shop sells to you, and the bill proves it.

Responsible service comes first

A runner will not hand bottles to anyone who looks underage. If someone at the door seems too drunk, the runner will not push more drinks on them. If you have been drinking, Barmen will suggest a cab home for your guests instead of driving. Runs happen only during shop hours and never on dry days.

Gurugram mein ho? Barmen ka runner aapke liye licensed store se bottle, mixers aur chakna le aata hai. Aap dukaan ko seedha pay karte ho. Sirf 21+, handover pe ID check. WhatsApp pe Hi bolo

Why a booking app alone does not solve the evening

Think of Rohan, who lives in a flat on Golf Course Road. He has six friends coming at 8 pm. Even if Gurugram had an app like Delhi's, he would still have to leave home, find parking near the shop and stand in the pickup line. Then he would remember that he forgot soda, ice and namkeen, which means a second stop.

By the time he is back, his first guest is already at the door. The booking would save him the payment step. It would not save him the trip.

That is the gap. Most people do not mind paying at a counter. What they want is to stay home with their guests while someone reliable does the run.

Planning a house party in Gurugram

A run for a few bottles is one thing. A party for 20 or 50 people needs more planning. Here is a simple way to think about it.

How much liquor to buy

A 750 ml bottle gives about 16 drinks of 45 ml each. For a relaxed evening, plan about three to four drinks per guest who drinks. For 20 drinking guests, that is about 60 to 80 drinks, so four to five bottles of spirits. Add beer and wine if your crowd likes them, and keep more soft drinks and water than you think you need.

Do you need a licence?

A small house party where you serve your own guests usually stays within your personal limits. A bigger event, or one at a farmhouse or banquet, may need a temporary L-12A licence from the Haryana excise department. Haryana now issues these online. Barmen can tell you if your event needs one and handle the paperwork.

Bartenders and the bar

A good bartender keeps the bar clean, pours the right measure and notices when a guest has had enough. Barmen can send bartenders for your party, along with the bar setup, glassware, mixers and ice. Someone also keeps count of the bottles, so you know what was used.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is alcohol delivery allowed in Gurgaon in 2026?

No. Haryana has no government delivery app and no delivery licence for liquor in 2026. Shops in Gurugram sell at the counter. You can buy yourself, or appoint a runner to fetch it for you from a licensed store, where you pay the shop directly and the bill is in your name. Avoid anyone who sells bottles from a car or a flat.

Can I use the Delhi Liquor Booking app in Gurugram?

No. The app only covers DSIIDC shops inside Delhi, and you must collect the bottles in person within 48 hours. It does not work for Gurugram shops. Also, do not carry Gurugram bottles into Delhi. Each state has its own rules on liquor that comes from outside.

What is the legal drinking age in Haryana?

The legal drinking age in Haryana is 21. The state lowered it from 25 through the Haryana Excise (Amendment) Bill, 2021, passed in December 2021. Delhi's legal drinking age is still 25, and the Delhi booking app only accepts buyers who are 25 or older.

How can I get liquor at home tonight in Gurugram?

You can walk to a licensed store, or appoint someone to go for you. Barmen does this in Golf Course Road up to Sun City, DLF Phase 1 to 5, Sushant Lok and Galleria: you say Hi on WhatsApp, appoint a runner, pay the shop directly, and the runner brings your bottles, mixers and snacks to you with the bill in your name. It is 21+ only, ID checked at handover.

Does Haryana plan to start online liquor booking?

Nothing has been announced yet. In July 2026, Haryana launched online services for licences and event permits, and upgraded its bottle tracking system. None of these lets a customer book or order liquor. If that changes, the Haryana excise department will be the first to announce it.

How many bottles do I need for a party of 20?

A 750 ml bottle gives about 16 drinks of 45 ml. If 20 guests drink three to four drinks each, you need about four to five bottles of spirits. Add beer or wine based on your crowd, plus plenty of soft drinks, ice and water.
